If you have Windows7, then open device manager by clicking on start, thereby click control panel, system and security and then under system you must click device manager. It may ask you the password or confirmation, and then provide the details asked and submit. In the list of hardware systems, you can find the devices which are preventing hibernation and then double click on the device name. Click on the power management tab and then clear the box of allow this computer to wake. In windows Vista, all such issues above mentioned can be fixed by using the powercfg -a utility from run as administrator in the command file. To turn hibernation back, you need to type powercfg -h.
